Alexandra Hospital, Yishin, Singapore

Silver Thomas Hanley in association with Architects Team 3 Pte, Singapore undertook a design completion for the creation of a 500 bed tertiary hospital and medical precinct for Singapore Health. The site was located at Yishin, Singapore.

The focus of the brief was to deliver an innovative and unique medical precinct based on the concept of a “hospital in a garden and a garden in a hospital”, with natural cross ventilation through the majority of the floors and inpatient units. The facility included a range of inpatient units, intensive care unit, associated clinical support areas such as operating suit, emergency department, specialist outpatient and ambulatory care units and diagnostic and treatment areas.

STH and AT3 were short-listed to the final 3 of the 8 local/international consortia.
