Geelong Hospital Outpatients Clinic,

The Bellerine Street Outpatients Clinic is a stand-alone building commissioned as part of a major redevelopment of the Geelong Hospital. The facility is comprised of a partial demolition and refurbishment of an existing 2 Storey building as well as a new single storey addition housing consulting and treatment rooms as well as staff support spaces on the ground floor. The refurbished first floor contains offices and administrative facilities.

The irregular wrapped facade and canopy is informed by the local Geelong factory vernacular and used as a way finding device to help locate the entrance of the detached building. The folding vaulted ceiling with large triangular skylights through the main central corridor of the clinic continue this theme into the interior spaces and provide ample natural light into the building.

The 23 consulting spaces are broken down into 3 pods each with their own clinical reception, waiting room and staff base facilities.
