St John of God Geelong Hospital, Geelong, VIC
The St John of God Hospital Geelong provides a new, contemporary frontage for this high profile site. The new building has established a new architectural language that is fresh, vibrant and visually stimulating, whilst complimenting the existing buildings.
A strategic master plan informed this major redevelopment, which reconfigures and increases the site capacity to meet current and projected growth requirements whilst improving services integration and operational efficiencies.
The project scope included a new front entry, cafe, chapel, front of house precinct, emergency department, rehabilitation service with hydrotherapy, inpatient units including maternity, oncology and rehabilitation, operating theatres, catheter laboratory, consulting suites and additional on site car parking.
The refurbishment of a number of existing spaces including administration, support service areas and back of house facilities completed the redevelopment. This exciting project was master planned, designed and delivered on schedule by Silver Thomas Hanley in June 2014.
