Central Coast Regional Cancer Centre, Gosford & Wyong, NSW

The development of a Regional Cancer Centre on the Central Coast is made up of three components: the main Radiation Oncology Unit, adjoining clinics and refurbishment of the existing Day infusions unit at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals. The main development, comprising the majority of the work, relates to the provision of a three bunker, two linear accelerator radiation oncology units with 15 Consulting/Interview Rooms providing a multidisciplinary service. An additional 5 chemotherapy chairs are added over the two sites.

The main works have been designed in the old main entry of the existing Gosford Hospital and have been designed such that it has only one entry to cater for the ambulatory nature of its clientele, yet linked into the main hospital to allow for the linkages to the existing hospital clinical services.

The project has been designed and documented to a strict budget and program that is linked back to federal funding milestones. The projects are programmed to be completed by the end of 2012.
