Epworth Camberwell Rehabilitation Centre, Camberwell, VIC

 

STH were commissioned by ING Properties in 2008, for Architectural services in relation to the redevelopment of Cedar Court Rehabilitation Centre on the prominent corner of Toorak and Burke Roads, Camberwell. With the transfer of the property, including operations, to Epworth Health Care, STH were then engaged in 2009 to provide Architectural services for the development of the Epworth Rehabilitation, Camberwell.

This project includes an additional 68 hospital beds, resulting in a total of 148 beds for both mental health and rehabilitation services. The facility was developed as a “wellness” centre for patients, in particular for mental health patients, to gain access to, and benefit from, other services available on site such as therapy rooms, multi-purpose rooms, dining rooms and café, consulting suites, ancillary retail and support services. The existing kitchen and dining facilities will also be refurbished. The redevelopment works include 98 extra car spaces provided on site.
