Holmesglen Private Hospital, Moorabbin, VIC

Silver Thomas Hanley (STH) was commissioned in September 2012 by Healthscope Pty Ltd to provide design services to convert and re-develop the existing facilities at the Hemisphere Conference Centre and Holmesglen TAFE, Moorabbin Campus, to an Acute Private Hospital.

This private hospital in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs adds to Holmesglen’s existing health education facilities, providing better training opportunities and clinical placements for their students.

The development includes: 132 bed IPU, 6 bed ICU, 9 bed CCU, 12 Chair Oncology facility with 6 chair expansion, 1 cardiac catheterization laboratory, 8 Operating Theatres, discharge lounge, Pathology, Emergency Department, DOSA, Tenancy/Consulting Suites, and associated clinical support spaces. The project uniquely coverts former hotel accommodation into contemporary inpatient accommodation whilst adding a fully integrated 5 level tower.
