Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Hospital - Stage 2 Redevelopment, Hornsby, NSW
Silver Thomas Hanley has been commissioned to undertake the Stage 2 of the $200 million Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Redevelopment, continuing the hospitals commitment to deliver contemporary Models of Care to the community.
Stage 2 of the project includes a refurbished and expanded Emergency Department and a new multi-storey Clinical Services Building. This will include an Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit, a Cardiac Investigations Unit with Respiratory/Cardiac and Coronary Care beds, Ambulatory Care, Medical Imaging, Paediatrics Ward, Medical Assessment and Inpatient Units. Complementing this is a welcoming foyer and retail space. The project will also include a Helipad.
Completed in early 2020, the first milestone, Medical Imaging was handed over to the Northern Sydney Local Health District. The Medical Imaging department consists of five X-Ray Rooms, two Cardiac Catheter Labs, a Nuclear Medicine Unit with a Gamma Camera and Spect CT, an Ultra Sound Unit as well as an MRI. These are complemented with administration and public spaces.
This project is being delivered in partnership with NSW Health Infrastructure and Northern Sydney Local Health District.
