St. John of God Langmore Centre, Berwick, Vic

The SJG Langmore Centre (SJGLC) is a private mental health hospital located south-east of Melbourne that provides comprehensive and holistic mental health care services.

STH was commissioned to design and deliver the extensive refurbishment of the existing St John of God Berwick Hospital to create a purpose designed Langmore Centre of 60 Beds, all being Single Rooms with private ensuites and with appropriate safety measures.

As a result of user group inputs, a series of opportunities to optimise the facility were developed; the key objective was to upgrade the facility to contemporary, best practice standards. To do so, STH ensured SJGLC housed a 12 Bed Perinatal Mental Health (PMH) Unit; a 27 Bed Adult Mental Health (AMH) Unit; a 4 Bed Alcohol and Other Drugs Mental Health (AOD) Unit; a 7 Bed Special/ Swing Mental Health Unit. The facility also contained Group Therapy Rooms, Patient Lounges, Dining Room, Games Room/Gymnasium, New Loading Dock, and a Pharmacy and other Support Services. BACK
