St. John of God Private Hospital, Ballarat Cancer Centre, VIC
The facility, planned for more than ten years, was jointly funded by St John of God Health Care, Ballarat Health Service and money raised by the community. It is managed by the Austin Health Cancer Service in conjunction with Radiation Oncology Victoria.
The centre enables patients from Ballarat and western and north west Victoria to access cancer treatment close to where they live, rather than travel to Melbourne or Geelong.
The Radiation Oncology Centre offers patient’s a third alternative to surgery and chemotherapy and further enhances Ballarat’s reputation as a centre for excellence in cancer care.
