Gleneagles Medini Hospital

Johor, Malaysia

Integrated Care

Gleneagles Medini Hospital is designed to set a new benchmark for patient-centered care in the region, integrating sustainability, efficiency, and a healing environment. Developed in collaboration with B+H, the 300-bed hospital is being built in three phases on a 14-acre site, ensuring a scalable and future-ready healthcare facility.

The design prioritises patient and staff well-being, with regional materials grounding the hospital in its cultural context while selective glass façades enhance openness, natural light, and connectivity to the surrounding landscape. A carefully structured master plan supports future expansion while maintaining clear separation of clinical services, efficient internal circulation, and intuitive wayfinding.

Beyond functionality, the hospital fosters a welcoming atmosphere through inviting entrances, a flexible layout anticipating future needs, and a focus on wellness for both patients and staff. Sustainable principles guide the design, integrating green spaces and natural light to create a restorative healing environment.

The first phase of construction was completed in 2015, marking the beginning of a healthcare facility designed for long-term adaptability and excellence.
