Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre
Melbourne, Victoria
Designed for collaboration, its open-plan workspaces, internal atrium, and bridge links connect clinicians, researchers, and educators, fostering innovation and knowledge-sharing. Universal room layouts enhance clinical safety and patient care, while flexible modular grids support future adaptability.

Sustainability was a key priority, with energy-efficient plant rooms, daylight-optimised spaces, and a 4 Star Green Star target reducing environmental impact. The spiraling façade and self-shading atrium minimize wind effects while maximising natural light, creating a welcoming environment for patients and staff.
As a Public-Private Partnership, VCCC sets new benchmarks in healthcare infrastructure, uniting leading institutions to deliver world-class cancer care. Its success in integrating health, education, and research has strengthened Melbourne’s Biomedical Precinct, ensuring long-term advancements in cancer treatment.
